Mood board ideas
My overall idea for the Magazine feature
would be urban/trendy/grunge fashion. The feature would include a UK fashion
article discussing fashion across Europe and its inspirations from other
generation fashions such as the 90s and how a lot of young teens/adults are
conforming and accepting the grunge and gothic style.
I would like to take pictures in simple
rural locations such as Parks, woods, streets, alleyways, and houses to keep it
as simple and realistic as possible. I have looked through multiple pictures
from a Grunge inspired blog and they all share in common the simple, urban
backdrops which is either in full focus as well as the model or the background
would be blurred and the model in full sharp focus.
I would like audience to focus on the
fashion and the person’s style. So the wardrobe, hair and make up would play an
important role. The poses would be
very relaxed, some in motion (moving. Walking), sitting down etc. This would
help emphasis how ‘cool’ and chilled the style is and the activities in which
these type of people take part in.
Grunge clothing is now mainstream and items
and accessories can be found in popular high streets such as Topshop, Urban
Outfitters and American Apparel as well as thrift stores in popular locations
such as Brick lane, Shoreditch high street and Camden.
Magazines where this could feature:
-Grazia
- A Fashion Blog
- The We Love page on the Topshop website –
focusing on current trends and popular items in Topshop
